Aaaaaaaaagh!

Every time I assure friends and blogreaders that I'm 'back,' some new snafu sends me scuttling to my tech manuals and my bag of computer tricks.

Another three days of technical problems, and, yes, some blogs that weren't written, but, frankly, there is nothing that I can add to the two burning issues of the day:

1. The State of the Union mendacity. Slimy tricks, phony press releases, jacking up the floor mikes to make tepid applause sound louder than it actually was. These have all been covered (or, usually, NOT) by the blogs and the "legitimate" press.
   
   
2. The troop "surge." What is it with the Bushies and their conflation of bullshit macho sexuality and war? Oh. Remember "Operation Mountain Thrust"? Say it fast: operation mount and thrust. Ha ha. Now, we're going to have a "surge." I wonder if it's the money shot for Operation MT? (And that last, literally).
   

I am not inactive. I am hyperactive in hardware matters at present. (Oh, geez: ever notice how when you pull out the ol' double entendres, EVERYTHING suddenly has a sleazy caste to it?)

I'm still digging under the covers. (Cut it out.)

Perhaps this term, a less sexual Congress. (I meant that one.)

All of which is to say that we're still being screwed by the Maladministration of the Shrub.
